In the beginning

I left the industry that I worked in for 12 years, because it I couldn't find a way to be happy, and not come across as an insecure douche.

Since then I have  learnt how to program and prototyped a piece of hardware aimed at gamers.

Now I am trying to build a team and get into a hardware accelerator to get my product to a manufacturing ready state.

As I have travelled along the road toward building myself a new career, I have encountered one massive obstacle:  Making enough money to survive, grow and prosper away from the industry I worked in for most of my professional life, has proved incredibly difficult.

I consider myself very industrious, and have tried a load of stuff to make money. Most recently I thought I had a genius plan: Sign up to drive an Uber. Only to discover my new aquired California Driver's license wasn't going to be okay.

About two weeks ago, I felt like I had run out of options to make money.
Except one. Poker.

After playing mostly tournaments, a week ago, I moved over to micro-stakes cash games.

Right now, I am averaging $75 a day, from 5 hours of play on a a single 10/25c table at a time, after 7 days of play.

I have started this blog, to track my progress as I work to improve my poker skills and increase my daily take. My goal is to average $150 a day, every day.

My intention is to post a bit about my general progress, but mostly about beats that I take at the table, and what I learnt from them.

Anyone curious is welcome to join for the ride.

Any advice or input is greatly welcomed.

Okay, off to the tables to start day 8.
